Terms of use

Last reviewed: October 2026.

These terms apply to this website. They do not apply to client engagements, which are governed by the signed agreement for each engagement.

Enquiries are not engagements

Submitting a form, emailing us, or speaking with us does not create a professional relationship, an engagement, or any obligation on either side. We provide consulting services only under a written agreement signed for a specific engagement, which sets out scope, fees, responsibilities and liability. Nothing on this website is an offer to provide services on any particular term.

The site is informational, not advice

Everything published here — pages, articles, methods, sample materials — describes how we think and work in general. It is written to be useful, but it is not professional advice for your specific situation, and it is not a substitute for judgment about your own systems, data, obligations or risk appetite. How any method applies to a given workflow depends on facts we cannot know from a website. If you need an answer you can act on, that is what an assessment is for.

Accuracy and change

We hold published claims to the standard described on the about page: every number is measured, sourced, or labelled as an estimate or hypothesis. Even so, content is provided without warranty of any kind. We correct and update material as methods and evidence evolve — articles record their publication and update dates, and substantive pages carry a "last reviewed" date. If these terms themselves change, the reviewed date above updates; continued use of the site after a change means the current version applies to you.

Sample materials are synthetic

The sample dossier and sample pre-read are fully synthetic documents created to show structure and reasoning. They describe no real client, workflow, dataset or result, and any figures in them are illustrative only. They demonstrate a format, not an outcome you should expect.

Intellectual property

The content of this site is owned by Banbreach or its licensors. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link; you may not republish pages or articles wholesale, present our material as yours, or use the site's content to train or evaluate commercial models without permission — see /llms.txt for how automated access is expected to behave. Our method descriptions are published so you can evaluate the work; that publication is not a licence to resell it as a service.

Acceptable use

  • Do not submit confidential, sensitive or customer data through the forms — see the privacy notice.
  • Do not use the forms, API or infrastructure for automated abuse, load testing or disruption. We rate-limit and otherwise protect the endpoints, and we may block traffic that abuses them.
  • Do not misrepresent your identity or affiliation when enquiring.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the infrastructure. If you are testing for vulnerabilities, read our security disclosure policy first.

Third-party content and services

The site links to third-party references (for example, primary sources cited in articles). We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content or availability. The site itself runs on third-party infrastructure and, where described in the cookies notice, uses consent-gated analytics and bot protection. Those processors' terms also apply to their processing.

Liability

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of, or reliance on, the website or its content — this site exists to describe our work, not to be your control system. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability that may arise from fraud. These terms do not affect the rights the privacy notice gives you over your personal data.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from use of this website are governed by the law of the jurisdiction of the contracting entity (Banbreach Consulting Ltd). We publish the entity here as soon as it is confirmed.

Questions

Questions about these terms can be sent through the general enquiry form — a principal reads them. If you believe content is wrong, the corrections policy explains how we handle substantive errors.
